LA Femme International Film Festival

Location: Los Angeles, CA

The LA Femme International Film Festival in Los Angeles champions women filmmakers and amplifies female-driven stories from around the world. Being selected for this prestigious, women-centered festival was a deep honor for our team, which features a woman director and executive producer. Additionally several members of our crew, cast and experts identify as women and persons of color. The event celebrated the creative voices behind Third Degree Burnout and reinforced our commitment to centering women - on screen, behind the camera, and throughout the film’s mission.

Show Low International Film Festival

Location: Lakeside-Pinetop, AZ

Awards: Best Documentary - Inspirational Category, Best Editing and Best Sound Design 

The Show Low Film Festival offered a warm Southwestern welcome, hosting three screenings of Third Degree Burnout along with multiple post-screening Q&As that sparked meaningful conversations. We had the opportunity to connect with an inspiring community of filmmakers and the festival’s exceptional team, whose support made the experience unforgettable. The festival became a standout moment in our U.S. journey, culminating in three major wins.

Better World Film Festival

Location: Munich, Germany

Awards: Honorable Mention

The Better World Film Festival in Munich offered a beautiful international moment for the film. Held at the iconic Lichtspiele Museum, this inspiring German festival is dedicated to stories that imagine a more hopeful, sustainable world. We were honored to receive an Honorable Mention, marking a meaningful milestone in our global festival journey.

Arlington International Film Festival

Location: Arlington, MA

Laurel: Official Selection

The Arlington International Film Festival was a proud homecoming for Third Degree Burnout, hosted at the historic Capitol Theater - a beloved landmark in the heart of Greater Boston. A full auditorium gathered for the screening, followed by a powerful and illuminating post-film Q&A discussion on burnout, lifestyle medicine, and climate grief. The event embodied our tagline, “Third Degree Burnout → First-aid for a burned-out world.”, and marked a deeply meaningful moment with our local community.

Big Syn International Film Festival

Location: London, U.K.

The Big Syn International Film Festival—founded by sustainability visionaries Dr. Ragini G. Roy and Dr. Sourav Roy - is the world’s largest sustainability-focused film festival, dedicated to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through meaningful cinema. As the creative and cultural arm of the Centre for Big Synergy, Big Syn brings together Oscar-, BAFTA-, and Emmy-winning artists and global leaders in film, media, policy, and social impact. We were honored to receive an Official Selection for 2025, recognizing Third Degree Burnout as part of a global movement using storytelling to inspire awareness, action, and systems-level change.

Awareness Film Festival

Location: Santa Monica, CA

Laurel: Merit Award

The Awareness Film Festival held in Santa Monica is a global gathering of independent storytellers using cinema to spark change around ecological, health, social, and spiritual issues. As part of its 16th annual edition, we were honored to receive a Merit Award. Being included in a festival that “does more than entertain” affirmed the film’s mission to educate, inspire, and heal.

The Overcome Film Festival is an international showcase dedicated to stories of survival, resilience, and triumph over adversity. Bringing together filmmakers, artists, and creators from around the world, the festival provides a powerful platform for voices that inspire hope and healing. We were honored to receive an Official Selection, aligning Third Degree Burnout with a global community committed to sharing transformative personal journeys.
