The Coalition
Films like Third Degree Burnout – A Survivor’s Guide are powerful conversation starters. An ecosystem needs to be built around them to generate real change, and diverse coalitions make social and cultural movements stronger.
A recent *study by University of Pennsylvania behavioral science researchers explored what motivates people to go from awareness, to intention, to action.
The results reported in their paper, “Behavioral Interventions Motivate Action to Address Climate Change,” suggest that pledges may have little impact, while interventions that make people vividly imagine the future are more likely to motivate a change in behavior.
For example, when having someone write a letter to future generations, they’re more likely to share it with friends, family, followers, and to make their own lifestyle changes.
The Beyond Burnout Coalition is collaborating with changemakers, celebrities and influencers to produce creative interventions that can motivate genuine change.
